1. What Is Best For Me A Three or A Four wheel Scooter?

Three wheels scooters often offer a smaller, lightweight and convenient solution to four wheel scooters. Four wheel scooters offer increased stability more suitable to day to day use.

Should it be transportable? If you plan to use your mobility scooter on day trips or transport your scooter regularly in your car then opt for a transportable model.

2. Do I Need Insurance?

Currently there is no legal requirement for you to insure your mobility scooter. However, it is recommended that you take out our insurance to cover against an accident or if you become the victim of a crime.

3. Do I Need Road Tax?

No. Currently there is no requirement for you to have any "road tax" in the same way that you do with a car.

4. What is the Travelling Range of a Mobility Scooter?

Ranges vary depending on the model, usually ranging from 8 to 30 miles. Check with us and the manufactures guidelines before purchase.

5. Mobility Scooter Maintenance and Taking Good Care of It .

New mobility scooters require very little maintenance, other than a recommended annual service. However we suggest that you carry out certain steps to ensure that your product stays in the best working order : Clean your mobility scooter keep it looking good, but also prevent unnecessary wear. Don't let your scooter get too wet : if you are caught in the rain, dry your mobility scooter to prevent corrosion Battery charging : charge your battery according to the manufactures guideline to receive optimum performance Storage : store in a dry place if possible to prevent weather damage (we also sell a variety of mobility scooter covers and storage equipment). Manufactures Guide : referee the guide to maximum weight to prevent overloading and or ask one of our friendly sales team.

6. VAT Exemption Terms - How Do I Qualify for VAT Exemption, and Under What Terms?

In our order process by ticking the VAT Relief Exempt boxes you agree to the following:• You are a registered charity, are chronically sick or disabled or the products are being purchased on behalf of an individual who is chronically sick or disabled. • The product being supplied by Gravelles Mobility & Lifestyle Ltd are for personal or domestic use. • You claim that the supply of the product is eligible for relief from VAT under the VAT Act 1994. As an example if you suffer from a long term walking and mobility problem you would be eligible for VAT relief on scooters, wheelchairs and walking sticks.
