Lifevac is a portable, manual suction device developed to be used on a choking victim, to clear an upper airway from obstruction when traditional back slaps and the Heimlich Manoeuvre fails, or for use on people that cannot receive standard basic life support (BLS) procedures.
Featuring a patented one-way valve which when applied prevents air from pushing food or objects downward and creates an upwards suction force to dislodge and remove the obstruction.
Lifevac is simple to use and will not cause damage to the oral cavity or activate the casualties gag reflex reducing further risks to the panicked victim.
Each Lifevac comes complete with one suction valve, colour-coded masks in adult and paediatric sizes, a practice mask for use during practical training and written instructions.
Capable of generating over 300 mmhg of suction, LifeVac dislodged obstruction of the airway first time in 49/50 trials. No prescription required.
